|FAT| Arts & Fashion Week 2014

Welcome friends and family to FAT- Arts & Fashion Week 2014! #fashion #art #taraartist #toronto #shoetree

I am pleased and honoured to announce I will be displaying an Interactive Art Installation at the week long event!

BACKSTORY—>I come from the country side, Durham Region, and on my way to my cottage I have always seen trees covered in cottagers old summer shoes. I have always been drawn to the mystery of the shoe, who worn them, who started them, how did they get there? Well know its my turn to create one in Toronto! Help me by bringing your old unwanted shoes!

HOW?—>I am asking all designers, fashionistas, photographers, friends, and family to bring your old, worn, unwanted shoes to hammer into my week long installation. We will be creating a Fashion Shoe Tree onsite by incorporating used shoes onto a tree near the venue! (SHHHHH!! Its a secret!)

MY GOAL—> To create Toronto’s First FASHION SHOE TREE!

“The tree at the end of the road, the model at the end of the runway
The tree that grows while the trends fade away
No one ever knew that this would be the day
The models’ shoes become the tree
While the tree becomes the runway”- Tara

TICKETS—> $35 per day or $100 for the whole week, visit http://fashionarttoronto.ca/buy-tickets/ for ordering online. Tickets will be available at the door
